When I look at the cover of Confessions of an ugly stepsister it makes me think of like a sophisticated Cinderella. Because they are in a pumpkin buggy which comes from Cinderella. It does not look like animated or anything. The artwork is very good I just wish that there would have included more characters in it so that I could see what everyone looks like.

Henrika

Tell me what you think about the character of Henrika. Is she sympathetic or not? What about what happens to her? Did she deserve that treatment, in your mind?
Henrika was a very protective parent. She would not let Clara do anything, she kept her inside her whole life and she new no one other then her family and servants. This showed us that Henrika did care about her daughter but there is still no reason for how protective she was. I think that Henrika was very full of herself and she looked down on people. She acted all high and mighty and acted like she was better then everyone. Also I think that Henrika did not deserve what happened to her, I do not think anyone does especially because she was pregnant.

First writing assignment

I think that this writing assignment will be pretty easy to write. I think that everyone has something that is important to them that they can write about, I think that we will all have trouble keeping it short enough. The way that we are getting ready for this paper is very close to what I have been doing all of highschool. I always try to make a web to put all of my thoughts down on paper and then I write my rough draft as good as I can so that I don’t have to change to many things on my final draft. It also helps that we are reading other peopls rough drafts because it shows us how other people write.

Iris

Do you believe that Iris is a sympathetic character, or simply a pathetic one? Why? Is Iris your vision of what an ugly stepsister should be? Explain why or why not.
I believe that Iris is more of a sympathetic character because she had to go through a lot and her mother makes to do a lot of things that she doesn’t want to do. I feel bad for Iris because she constantly has to take care of her older sister and watch over her like she was her babysitter and first she has to sit around perfectly still all day while someone paints her. And then she is moved to a different house and has to then not worry just about her sister she now has to make clara trust her and be her friend and teach her a language. This make me think that Iris is a sympathetic character

Cinderela story

In a cinderella story i think about someone that overcomes obstacles to succed. A cinderela story is about an underdog. In a cinderela story there is always a happy ending. I expect there to be a happy ending in this story.
